DEPUTY MINISTER PHUMZILE MGCINA TO PARTICIPATE AT THE MINING, LOCALISATION AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ROUND TABLE DISCUSION
The Deputy Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, Ms Phumzile Mgcina, will participate at the Mining Investment, Localisation and Community Development Round Table Discussion on Friday, 23 October 2026 at Manthe Village, Greater Taung Local Municipality in Northwest Province.
The Mining Investment, Localisation and Community Development Round Table will provide a platform for stakeholders in the mining sector to engage directly with government, industry stakeholders and institutions responsible for mining regulation, economic development, skills development and the creation of sustainable economic opportunities.
During the engagement, Deputy Minister will interact with stakeholders on the progress made in transforming the mining sector, while listening to their experiences, concerns and aspirations. The roundtable will further seek to identify areas where government and the mining communities can strengthen support and create meaningful, sustainable and inclusive opportunities for all stakeholders across the mining value chain.
