The Department of Energy as the Designated National Authority (DNA) for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), in collaboration with the UNFCCC secretariat, the East African Development Bank through the CDM Regional Collaboration Centre (RCC) in Kampala and the “Future of the Carbon Market” Foundation of the German government hosted a training workshop on CDM Post-Registration Changes (PRCs) and Programme of Activities (PoAs), on the 12th – 14th February 2014 at Manhattan Hotel, Pretoria in Gauteng Province of South Africa.

In addressing some of the identified challenges to CDM Development in South Africa and Southern African Development Community, the training workshop provided capacity building support to the project developers and also to the DNA office to enhance its ability to promote CDM projects and PoAs.
